Singer-songwriter Tom McRae has announced an exclusive London show celebrating the 25th anniversary of his Mercury Prize nominated self-titled debut album.
McRae will perform the 2000 album in full, accompanied by a full band, at O2 Shepherds Bush Empire on Thursday 20th November 2025.
Audiences will also be treated to select career highlights from his nine studio albums to date, as McRae revisits the raw emotion and poetic storytelling that have made him one of the UK’s most beloved singer-songwriters.
On the 25th anniversary show, McRae says:
“It’s been a long time since I played these songs the way they were meant to be heard—with a great band and a room full of voices singing along. This show is for everyone who has been on this journey with me—it’s a celebration of the music we’ve made together.”
Tom McRae burst onto the scene with his confessional self-titled debut album in 2000, garnering nominations for the Mercury Prize, the BRIT Award for New Music and a Q Magazine award.
Both cathartic and brash, Tom McRae sold over 160,000 copies, and garnered plenty of critical acclaim for its intimate storytelling and emotional delivery.
Since then, McRae has released eight studio albums, collaborated with musicians from across the globe, and written for other artists, most notably Marianne Faithfull on her 2014 album Give My Love To London.
His music has also been used extensively in film and television, ranging from ‘Buffy The Vampire Slayer’ to ‘The English’.
With a reputation for intensely moving live performances and wry, self-deprecating humour, McRae’s show promises an unforgettable night for old and new fans alike.
