American jam band icons Gov’t Mule have announced their return to the UK as part of the ‘Peace… Like A River’ World Tour 2023, with a show at The London Palladium on 6th November – their only UK date this year.
The quartet, led as ever by Grammy-winning vocalist, songwriter guitar legend, and producer Warren Haynes, will bring their 13th studio album ‘‘Peace… Like A River’ to the UK for the first time following its release this month.
The album has received rave reviews, Classic Rock magazine who commented ‘just like the river, the pleasures on this album run deep.’
Co-produced by co-founder Warren Haynes and John Paterno, ‘Peace…Like A River’ deftly combines structure and spontaneity. Concise songcraft coexists seamlessly with Gov’t Mule’s trademark instrumental journeys, and Haynes’ lyrical themes serves as the glue that fuses the new LP’s extraordinary sonic variety.
The Grammy-nominated band formed initially as a side-project to The Allman Brothers, who Haynes and his fellow co-founder, the late Allen Woody were members of at the time. Since then, they’ve gone onto become one of the biggest forces in roots-oriented rock music in their own right.
