This show, hosted by Michael Grade and featuring an array of very special guests artists celebrates the work of one of the world’s greatest songwriters, Sir Tim Rice. The concert will highlight the work and colossal impact Tim Rice has had from stage to screen. From The Lion King, Evita, Jesus Christ Superstar to James Bond and beyond, you’ll hear his most renowned songs performed live accompanied by the BBC Concert Orchestra, conducted by Mike Dixon.
As part of this concert, multiple-Oscar winner Tim Rice will also be in conversation with Michael Grade about his life and career, the composers he has worked with and anecdotes about how some of the songs came to life. A truly unique evening where you’ll not only hear fabulous songs but also get the chance to step into the life and mind of one of the world’s most most and iconic songwriters. The show is also being filmed by the BBC for broadcast at a later date.
