Petula became the first UK female artist to win a Grammy in 1964 with ‘Downtown’ for ‘Best Rock n Roll Record’ (Downtown hit number one in the US selling over three million copies) and won her second Grammy the following year, 1965, for ‘Best Female Vocal Performance’ with ‘I Know A Place’. One of the key players in ‘the British Invasion’, she scored 15 consecutive US top forty hits, and paved the way for female British artists ever since.

When in 1980 she opened at the Victoria Palace, London in ‘The Sound of Music’ it was to the then biggest advance in British Theatre history. She subsequently has starred in the New York production of Blood Brothers and gave a defining performance of Norma Desmond in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s ‘Sunset Boulevard’ in London and in the US.
This extensive UK tour accompanies a new album titled ‘From Now On’, which is due for release in September 2016. The album is a refreshing and inspiring collection of songs that draws upon various influences from Petula’s canvas and astonishing career.
The show will feature many of Petula’s classic hits, such as ‘Downtown’, ‘This Is My Song’ and ‘I Know A Place’, as well as a selection from her new album.
