20 years since his major label debut, the self-titled “Ron Sexsmith”, his music has framed and helped define the art of songwriting. A songwriter’s songwriter, he won the admiration of artists such as Elvis Costello and Paul McCartney with his trademark melancholic style.
Q Magazine observed how “Sexsmith confirms his place as artist’s favourite” and AllMusic.com noted how “his best compositions have the feel of timelessness”.
Ben Watt will be turning to his early Jazz routes as he plays the opening set for Ron’s date in London.
